One of Canada’s leading contemporary artists, Charles Pachter is a painter, printmaker, sculptor, designer, historian, lecturer and author. An Officer of the Order of Canada, a recipient of the Order of Ontario and of Queen’s Golden and Diamond Jubilee medals, he has been recognized with honorary doctorates from Brock University, OCADU, the University of Toronto and Lakehead University. He is represented in public and private collections around the world. His 1985 mural, Hockey Knights in Canada, continues to enhance Toronto’s College subway station.
