Why

The Board would like the advice, opinions, and experience of a broad segment of our Academy’s members regarding the future direction of the Academy.

After four years of change and challenge for the Academy – moving from the U of T campus, finding a new home, a worldwide pandemic, new technology, and ongoing changes in the growing later life learning environment — this is a good time to refresh and renew.

Based on the input we receive, the Academy Board will develop a work plan for moving forward.

What

This will be a meeting to identify the challenges the Academy currently faces and the opportunities we have to move forward.

The meeting will be facilitated by Dorothy Aaron, an experienced Volunteer Consultant who works for not-for-profit organizations. We will meet in small groups around tables, each with a member of the Long-Range Planning Steering Committee. The Committee was formed by the Board and is chaired by Vice- President, Thea Herman.
