What You need To Know Before You Register....
Payment of the membership fee is done online through the Academy website, and requires the use of a PayPal account or a credit card. 2018/19 fees will be posted shortly.
What Does My Membership Fee Cover?
The membership fee entitles you to register for up to three workshops for the full academic year, with a possible opportunity to register in a fourth workshop after July 15 if space permits. Your membership fee also covers the Forums, the Spring Talks, and the Academy Walks. There may be a small additional charge for some of the social events.
Changes to your workshop selections may be made by emailing the Membership Committee Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org
Confirmations will be emailed in late May or early June.
Three spaces in each workshop will be reserved for new members until July 1st. After that date, any available spaces will be allocated to those on the waiting lists.
Early in May, the names of applicants for any over-subscribed workshops will be randomized. This allows for an equitable distribution of applicants to determine membership in the workshop and a waitlist sequence.
If you are waitlisted, you will be contacted to see whether you wish to remain on that waitlist or would rather choose another workshop. Registrations received after randomization for over-subscribed workshops will be added to the end of the waitlist.
A minimum number of five participants is required for a workshop to proceed. Applicants will be contacted before the beginning of the semester if their workshop does not meet that minimum number.
Refunds will not be offered after September 30, 2018.
April 3rd, 2018 - online registration begins
May 1st, 2018 - workshop randomization begins
Mid-May, 2018 - phone calls to those waitlisted begin
Late May, 2018 - workshop confirmations sent by email
End of June, 2018 - preliminary class lists sent to facilitators
July 1st, 2018 - end of New Members' Workshop Selection Preference
July 15th, 2018 - option to register in fourth workshop opens
August 1st, 2018 - available spaces allocated to waitlisted members
