Update on Our Gardening Special Interest Group
The Gardening Special Interest group meets on the first Thursday of the month, May through August, from 2-4 pm. It appeals to gardeners of all stripes. At the moment we have 15 participants.
Yesterday, May 6, we enjoyed a wonderful presentation on roses from Ross Linton. However, future sessions will not include formal presentations. Discussions will focus on a particular theme(s), as decided by the members.
In June we will talk about native plant/ wild gardens and the role of good/bad weeds. This could include invasive species. The July theme is to be “contained” gardening – e.g., balconies, containers, raised beds, garden walls, etc. August is TBA but might include vegetable gardening.
