With Sadness
It is with sadness that we communicate the passing of Liz Feltes - a valued member of the Academy family since 2005. Current members fondly recall the lively and engaging workshops that Liz led on topics like History of the English Language and Memoirs. Like Liz, the workshops were always intelligent and thoughtful.
In addition to her involvement as a Facilitator, Liz chaired the Membership Committee and was a Board member in 2011 - 2012.
Whether it was her involvement in the civil rights movement in Atlanta in the 1960s, or her pioneering work in the treatment of HIV/AIDS in Toronto, Liz was a remarkable woman who enriched the lives of many of us at the Academy. She will be sorely missed.
