May 20 Walk – Tommy Thompson Park / Leslie Spit

I was pleased to help Mike lead  Monday’s Academy Walkers along the holiday-busy Tommy Thompson Park / Leslie Spit Trails.  Seems the numbers were ever fluid with 16 of us at the starting gate.....then several taking the many optional trails ‘ less travelled’ and others foregoing the end-to-end marathon and enjoying their picnic short of the extraordinarily wind-swept lighthouse.

Looking forward to next week’s walk where we revert to Tuesdays and have Susan lead us up the Beltline and down the Cedarvale Ravine.....a route made memorable for me this past Valentine’s day by ‘loosing’ the Srs. Hiking Club group I was leading  in a snow storm.
