A Remarkable Achievement

Academy Vice President’s Message
by Barrie Wilson

One of the Academy’s greatest strengths is its vibrant culture of member participation. Approximately 37% of members take on leadership roles as facilitators, committee members, or Board members—some even serving in all three capacities.

This high level of engagement underscores the Academy’s commitment to peer-to-peer governance and learning.

Active involvement enriches the Academy experience, fostering meaningful connections in a collegial environment where new ideas are proposed, discussed, and implemented.

New members are always welcome to join committees, whether assisting with curriculum planning, managing workshop registrations, or supporting the seamless execution of special events, talks, and forums. Discussions are lively as Academy leaders prepare for the future.
