Downtown Toronto Art Deco Architecture

On this walk, the author of the award-winning book Art Deco Architecture in Toronto takes you past such landmark buildings from the late 1920s and 1930s as Eaton’s College Street store, the former Toronto Stock Exchange at King and Bay, and the reconstructed Concourse Building. Along the way, Tim will point out each building’s distinctive Zigzag, Streamlined Moderne and Stripped Classical stylistic features. Duration is about two hours; please wear comfortable shoes and bring your Presto card for the subway ride from College to Union Station.
