Come and join a Zoom discussion group of film lovers. Participants will each select a contemporary film available on Netflix that they wish to introduce to the group. Two films are discussed at each workshop. Participants are expected to have viewed the two films recently in advance of the workshop to ensure lively and congenial discussion. Think of Film B like a tasting menu at a fine restaurant. In the same way as you’d try dishes on such a tasting menu that you would otherwise never think to eat; in Film B you’ll view and devour films that you would otherwise never think to consume.

Facilitators

Carol Ann Witt loves to watch good films and talk about them with other film buffs. She bets you do, too. She is not a film professional—far from it—but she does have some skills in communication. Carol Ann undertakes to use those skills to facilitate lively and congenial discussion about the films we watch in Contemporary Film B.

Irv Ash was raised on movies attending them at an early age and thereafter spending a large part of the succeeding years in the dark. Irv estimates he’s seen over 15,000 movies both at theatres and on TV and is both lucky and, in some cases, cursed in remembering most of them. Taking courses on film and reading many books in the area, Irv looks forward to sharing insights and encouraging discussion about movies.
